Gold is overbought in our opinion and we think the yellow metal is in for a short term correction. We feel the same way about silver.
The coming drop in gold and silver prices will drag precious metals stocks down with it and so we are taking profits and selling some shares (read more…)

We don’t often invest in junior exploration stocks, as we prefer to stay with companies that actually have some silver and are therefore leveraged to the silver price, as opposed to exploration companies that may or may not ever find a single ounce.

However we made and exception with this one and bought Minco Silver back on April 24th 2007 and despite it being a rough ride, we are now holding the stock at a paper profit of (read more…)

In the Federal Reserve meeting this week, we will almost certainly see another interest rate cut of at least 25 basis points, with the more likely option being a cut of 50 basis points. This will give stocks across the board another boost and deal another blow to the US dollar.

The majority of investors know that Ben Bernanke intends to continue to cut rates as much as he can to try and prevent a recession in America. However what is not known yet is just how far the Fed will go in their rate cutting policy.
Are rates heading to zero? Is Bernanke going to (read more…)

Silver has gained roughly a dollar since the begining of 2008 and silver prices have increased a massive $5.00, or over 43%, since we gave a BUY signal days after silver prices hit a bottom in August.
Silver is also up $2.00 since our triple BUY signal a little over a month ago, on December 7th 2007, when we flashed three BUY signals on silver stocks Silver Standard, Eagle Plains and Endeavour Silver.

However it is important not to get caught up in the recent success of silver and the precious metals. Nothing goes up in a straight line, and corrections are part of a bull market. We think that (read more…)

Nearly a week ago we wrote that we thought that both gold and silver are in for a correction. Therefore we recommended no buying at current prices, although we have not changed our long term outlook; that silver is in a terrific bull market.
Here is a summary of the silver stocks we are following at the moment (read more…)

Silver prices have been on quite a run recently but it looks as if they are now overbought and due a correction.

Although all the fundamentals of this silver bull market still support a large rise in silver prices over the long term, in the shorter term silver prices appear to us to be overbought and due a correction (read more…)

Back in November 2007, Hecla Mining did not go through a correction as many other silver stocks did. As a result of this, and the fact that Hecla was looking very overbought, we decided to signal to our readers to Take Profits on HL and sold 50% of our shares in the company at an average price of $11.89

The correction in silver stocks presented a two pronged trading opportunity for us and of course our readers as well (read more…)
